The Stalking Day:
The day is drawing to a close, the shadows lengthen and nature's colours begin to glow in the soft pink light of the fading sun.
Your guide takes you quietly through coppice and shrub, down ancient track and along mature hedgerows. "Be careful as we move through here" "Has the wind changed?" "This is a favoured exit from the woods....look there!"
Now the best part begins, the slow movement from cover to cover, freezing when the deer looks up, moving forward as it's head goes back down to feed.
Its a fine young buck in its red summer coat. The click of a camera shutter or of a rifle bolt would send it running for cover. What do we do next........................???
Book your day and write your own ending to this great story.
We stalk two sessions each day, one at dawn and the other at dusk.
Transport by 4x4 is provided and an ATV is available if required.
When a guest arrives range practice and zeroing is the norm. We like to be sure of your accuracy and confidence prior to the start of stalking.
In almost all cases stalking is on foot, however there are recently constructed high seats for those who prefer less activity and have a head for heights! These seats are most productive at first and last light.
No range practice is required for those with a camera! We have computers to download digital images onto CD or disc.
Guests are able to help with any larder work and Trophy presentation should they wish to learn these skills.
