Your Stalkers Diary. December 2007.
As the festive season arrives, it is often hard to remind yourself that one has to keep on top of the doe numbers.
The usual wind rain and hard frosts make it harder to get out from the sack to meet the dawn. Self inflicted I know, but returning from three weeks in Australia makes getting up early is easier, but keeping warm much harder!!.
No shooting this trip down under however the usual picks of "skippy", possums and koalas had to suffice.
The does are going well to date, and the aquisition of a new Nikon Range finder in Hongkong will eliminate all the guesswork, perhaps.
Body weights have been average sofar with quality good. The fat reserves around the body cavity heavier than usual. I wonder if this could herald a hard winter. Watch this space!!
Blackdown Stalking has just had it's ninth Birthday. and so I would like to thank all my friends for stalking with me and the team over the years.
Paul David and Mike are all still stalking with our clients and want me to pass on the Seasons Greetings to old friends and new.
Steve, my mate from up north, who does our IT has done a great job for which I thank him.
Finally the "stalking and countryside management courses" have gone well and bookings are going well for 2008.
Have a really good Christmas.
Pete.
