Your Stalkers Diary. July 2006.

What a heat wave!

Conditions make for hard stalking but we have had quite a bit of success within the covers both at dawn and dusk. The rut has not started yet but there are one or two early signs.

Calling this morning produced does at a run on several occasions. Very exciting and you never know if a buck will arrive as well. Last night produced a buck that will be a medal with seven points and heavy pearling.

A great shot by Freddie from Belgium, 100m from sticks, followed by a long hot drag back to the truck. The champagne was great and should be compulsary!!

Last week your intrepid stalker was boating in the Outer Hebridese, 326 miles in 4 days camping at night and enjoying the wildlife. Otters, seals, and basking sharks, let us share their domain. A great experience not to be forgotten.

Now back into lack of sleep mode with my clients wanting to stalk this evening, then go foxing. Deep sea fishing tomorrow. They are then off to my associate in Wilts for muntjak.

Good Stalking to all my readers,

Pete.
